Do Not Make This Mistake When Leveling Up In World Of Warcraft

By Adrian Logan

In World of Warcraft, you can earn gold in several different ways. One of these is by using your profession to gather or craft items, and then sell those either on the trade channel or in the auction house.

It is almost free to gather professions to level up. The more you gather, the more you develop your skills.

There is a trap when it comes to crafting professions. Most people fall for it.

Do Not Forget Your End Goal.

Yes, it's fun to produce things like jewels, enchants, armor and weaponry, and it's practical to be able to make your own, so you don't have to buy from others.

But your end goal should probably be to earn gold. Your real goal in having a profession should not be levelling up your skills.

You probably will not get the impression that the people who put up items for sale in the auction house are doing that for the gold.

I often see people selling items like jewlry, glyphs and other crafted items at prices that are 10 times lower than the actual cost to produce them.

You may say that if I sell the items more expensive, they will remain unsold since everyone is selling at such low price. You are correct to say that.

If you can, do not sell.

Don't try to sell them! It is obvious that when the prices are so low on your products that you will be selling them at a loss, or not be able to sell them at all, keep it. There are other ways to make money with these items.

All uncommon items (green items) can be disenchanted. That means that an enchanter can turn your rings, weapons, armor, and some other items into dusts and shards - and dusts and shards are free to put up for sale. You don't pay any fees if your enchanting materials are not sold. So there's absolutely no risk for you, and you can avoid undercutting the other prices.

You can ask on trade and pay a tip to the enchanter who assists you. Alternatively you can find somebody in your guild to help you if you don't have a character with enchanting as a profession.

Level up a crafting profession can be quite costly but do not make it harder for yourself than you have to. While you are leveling up, use your items in a creative way to earn gold and don't undercut prices.
